概要
VBED®︎2 木製は、ジョセフ・ピラティスが生涯をかけて追求した「V型ベッド（V-Bed）」の思想を現代に継承し、日本の職人技ととうきょうの木 多摩産材を使用した環境に配慮した材料によって多機能ピラティス器具＆睡眠ベッドです。
「動」と「休」が同じ空間でつながるVBED®︎2は、その理想を形にした次世代ウェルネスマシンです。

Overview
The VBED®2 Wooden Model carries forward the philosophy of the “V-Bed” pursued throughout the life of Joseph H. Pilates, reinterpreted for the modern era through Japanese craftsmanship and environmentally responsible materials using Tokyo Timber (Tama-grown wood).
Crafted as a multifunctional Pilates apparatus and sleep bed, VBED®2 unites movement and rest within a single space—embodying this ideal as a next-generation wellness machine.

1. Ideal Postural Support through a V-Shaped Structure
The gently inclined V-shaped design follows the body’s central axis, naturally guiding the spine and internal organs into optimal alignment while supporting healthy breathing and circulation.
It is suitable not only for Pilates exercises, but also for napping, meditation, and recovery.
2. Tokyo Timber – Tama-Grown Hinoki Wood
VBED®2 is crafted using Tama-grown Japanese hinoki (cypress) as part of a commitment to passing on a healthy environment to future generations.
By promoting the use of domestic timber, VBED®2 supports the circulation of forest resources, encourages proper forest management, and contributes to the preservation of forests’ multiple ecological functions—ultimately helping to sustain a rich natural environment for generations to come.
3. Rocking Mechanism
A uniquely developed rocking frame mechanism creates subtle, rhythmic movement that helps regulate the autonomic nervous system and supports the transition into sleep.
The shift between movement and stillness is generated not by machinery, but by rhythm.
4. Multi-Functional Attachment Compatibility
VBED®2 can be equipped with Cadillac-style mechanisms.
By combining springs, straps, and a roll-up bar, the system can be freely adapted for Pilates, rehabilitation, stretching, meditation, and napping, depending on the intended purpose.
5. Manufacturing and Supply Process
VBED®2 is produced through a local production-for-local consumption model in Ome City and Okutama Town, Tokyo, reducing transportation impact while contributing to the regional economy.
The rocking frame adopts a traditional lattice (Kōshi-gumi) structure, allowing airflow and light to pass through, ensuring a clean and hygienic sleeping environment.
